Daily Evacuation Brief | March 2, 2022
Daily news about Afghanistan and the surrounding region powered by Operation Snow Leopard
Threat Analysis
LAST 24 HOURS:
As expected, the security searches spread out to other provinces and towns and no violence has yet to be reported. However, the severity of the treatment of those people searched in Northern areas seems to be tougher than what citizens in Kabul had to endure.
Several reports of vehicles thought to belong to ISIS-K attempted to avoid a checkpoint on the Northern edge of Kabul and were fired at by Taliban fighters. Taliban security vehicles eventually arrived at the checkpoint and began patrolling the roads, looking for the trucks. At-risk Afghans are encouraged to avoid loitering near the Taliban checkpoints on the outskirts of the city.
NEXT 24 HOURS:
The Central Bank plans to auction off $14 million dollars in an attempt to further strengthen the Afghani.
The UN Security Council will discuss the situation in Afghanistan in New York.
Security services are expected to continue operations throughout the country. The Afghan Digest had not received notification of which provinces, towns, or districts will be the focus as of the time of printing.
