TALIBAN REINFORCE PANJSHIR, MULTIPLE NEW SECURITY CHECKPOINTS ESTABLISHED – Sources say that in response to multiple high-profile attacks by the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) and National Resistance Front (NRF), the Taliban have stepped up security operations in the Province. Several arrests were reported across the Province over the past seventy-two hours and local eyewitnesses reported an increase in the number of Taliban personnel manning the checkpoints along roads. The new security posture predates the rumored attack on the Governor of Panjshir yesterday evening. Sources within Resistance force units say that similar measures are expected to be seen in other Northern Provinces.
